This is a hackathon hosted by the Hygiene Education and Resource Operations Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit started by students in Silicon Valley. The aim of the hackathon is to tap into the talent of developers around the globe and assuage the multitude of negative implications COVID-19 has had on society.

  • Technical Complexity
    How technically impressive was the hack? Was the technical problem the team tackled difficult? Did it use a particularly clever technique or did it use many different components? How far did they go with the idea? Did the team stretch themselves?
  • Scalability
    Is the hack able to be turned into a big scale project? Can it adapt to growth?
  • Feasibility
    Does the hack work? Did the team achieve everything they wanted?
  • Relation to Track
    How visible is the hack’s connection to track?
